Larry Dale Weddle (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Larry Dale Weddle, son of Wallace Monroe and Gladys Elvira Basnett Weddle, was born July 12, 1952, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, March 21, 2018, while working in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, eight months, and nine days.
On June 4, 1971, he was united in marriage to Jolene Carol Ruble, and to this union one daughter was born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years, Jolene, of the home; a daughter, Melissa Livingston, and her husband, Jim, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Darina Hale, and her husband, Jake, Tesha Tookes, and her husband, Naim, Noah Livingston and Avry Livingston; eight brothers, Stanley Weddle, and his wife, Carol, of Kansas City, Missouri, Wayne Weddle, and his wife, Karen, of Fordland, Missouri, Paul Weddle, and his wife Retta, Kenneth Weddle, Roger Weddle, and his wife, Pam, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Kent Weddle, and his wife, Barb, of Grovespring, Missouri, Rex Weddle and Jerry Weddle, both of Lebanon, Missouri; six sisters, Sharon Turner, and her husband, Larry, Peggy Nalls, and her husband, Paul, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Juanita Stucki, Barb Lee, and her husband, Ron, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Elaine Uder, and her husband, Gary, and Janice Milliken, and her husband, Bruce, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; his stepmother, Dorothy Brackett, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Cook School before graduating from Lebanon High School. After he and Jolene were married, they made their home near Lebanon, Missouri, and lovingly raised their daughter. Larry worked in his father’s construction business for a number of years, and then owned and operated a lawn care service for the last several years.
Larry had been saved and baptized and followed the Freewill Baptist faith. He was also a licensed Freewill Baptist minister. He had a deep abiding faith in God.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and particularly liked being near or in water. He had a keen interest in history and loved watching Western movies. He possessed a quiet personality and loved his family dearly. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Memorial contributions to St Judes Children's Hospital, may be made through the funeral home.
