Laura Fullington's Obituary
Laura Eveline Fullinton, daughter of Charles Francis and Lydia Eveline (Mason) Crapo, was born February 4, 1924, in West Plains, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, August 10, 2008, in Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, six months, and six days. On June 10, 1943 she was united in marriage to David Edward Fullington and to this union eight children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, on October 28, 1992; her parents; two grandchildren, Charlotte Tooley and Harry James Tooley; a number of brothers and sisters. Laura is survived by her children, Elsie Huston, Joan Reed, Charles Fullington, Betty Hill, and Jesse Fullington, all of Hartville, Missouri, David Fullington, Jr., of Mountain, Grove, Missouri, Mary Swan of Bosworth, Missouri, and Ava Fullington, of Springfield, Missouri; thirty grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; a brother, Jesse Crapo, of Duluth, Georgia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was born and raised in West Plains, where she remained until she met and married David. They then moved to Hartville to make their home and lovingly raised their family. Laura had made her profession of faith in Christ and had attended Hartville Church of God. Besides being a devoted homemaker she had also worked selling Grit papers, and in a chicken hatchery. In her spare time she enjoyed playing her French harp and harmonica, making toothpick houses and rummaging. Laura was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wed. August 13, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Hartville. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience and under the direction of Holman- Howe Funeral Home Hartville, Missouri.A memorial has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
