Laureda "June" Lewis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Laureda June Lewis, daughter of Dow and Dora Warren Morehouse, was born July 10, 1935, in Falcon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, August 5, 2021, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, and twenty-six days.
On December 31, 1963, she was united in marriage to Vincie J. Lewis, and they shared the last fifty-seven years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Virginia Lou, Dotty, Valeeta, and Laveeta.
June is survived by her husband, Vincie, of the home; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Morehouse, of Richland, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She lived most of her life in the Falcon, Missouri area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. After she and Vincie were married, they made their home near Falcon, where June was a devoted homemaker. Later, she and Vincie moved into Lebanon and enjoyed their retirement years.
She enjoyed cooking and liked sewing and quilting. She particularly enjoyed old school country living. She loved animals and always had several pets.
June was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. in New Home Cemetery in Falcon, Missouri with Rev. Allen Reeves officiating.
A memorial has been established to New Home Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
