Lavern Moore (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Lavern Moore, age 64 of Polk, Missouri, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 13, 2011, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born on June 9, 1947, in Polk, Missouri, the son of Walter Cecil Moore and Harvey Lane (Patterson) Moore.
Lavern was a graduate of Halfway High School, Class of 1965. Lavern was saved on November 2, 1961. He was a member of Goodson Missionary Baptist Church.
On November 12, 1993, he was united in marriage to Mary Frances Westmoreland in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Lavern was a cattle farmer, and hauled fertilizer and lime for Hawk Fertilizer for 39 years. He enjoyed his farm, cattle, tractors, tractor pulls and loved his family very much. He was also a licensed airplane pilot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Harvey Lane Moore.
Surviving are his wife, Mary of the home; two sons, Thomas Lee Moore, of Bolivar, Missouri, and Rex Allen Moore, of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Sarah Ann Thompson, of Republic, Missouri; two stepsons, Will Westmoreland and his wife, Julie, of Bolivar, Missouri, and John Westmoreland and his wife, Peyton, of Baxter Springs, Kansas; three stepdaughters, April Dickens and her husband, David, of Bolívar, Missouri, Brandi Martin and her husband, Todd, of Adrian, Missouri, and Jennifer Harding and her husband, Bill, of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Larry Moore and his wife, Freddie, of Polk, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous other family members and friends.
