LaVerne Richard Fink, age 88 of Bolivar, MO, departed this life at his home on August 5, 2013 at 12:57 PM after a brief illness.
LaVerne was born in Bolivar, MO on March 28, 1925.
On August 17, 1946 he married Dorothy Lou Welsh. To this union 2 children were born,
Richard Earl and Sharon Kay.
LaVerne was a successful Businessman and Developer in the Bolivar and Polk County area for many years. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II.
He was a very private man who was very proud of his family. The memories and values of Grandpa Shorty are instilled in each of us and the memories will live on with us through the years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lodar Mae (Durham) Dishman in 1977,Father, Augustus Fink. His sister, Juanita Morris Butler in 2012 and a very special grandson, Brian Dean Sawyer in December, 1992.
Surviving LaVerne is his wife Dorothy Fink of the couple’s home. Son Richard Fink and wife Geraldine of Bolivar, MO; Sharon Sawyer and husband Larry of Bolivar, MO; Granddaughters, Ronda Riden and husband Rob of Bolivar, MO; Terri Rash and partner Mike Masters of Ozark, Mo and grandson Kevin Sawyer of Joplin, MO and Fiancée Kayla Bays of Humansville, MO; Great Grandchildren, Cody and MaKayla Rash of Ozark, MO and Randy Riden of Bolivar, MO.
