LaVeta McLellan (Bolivar)'s Obituary
LaVeta “Mom” McLellan, 86, of Wheatland, Missouri entered into eternal rest on July 4th, 2021 with her loving family by her side. LaVeta moved to Wheatland from Greenfield, Missouri in the early 90’s. She was a lover of animals and people. She was known by either mom or grandma to everyone she met. She welcomed everyone with a huge smile and open arms. LaVeta was a huge supporter of the community. She was a member of the Galmey Community Bible Church.
LaVeta was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Bobby F. Jones and Merton W. McLellan, her sons, Scott L. Jones and Kelly O. Jones, and her siblings, Paul Stubbs, Ronnie Stubbs, Lloyd Stubbs, and Mike Shillito.
She is survived by her son, Mark Jones and Belva McCoy of the home, step son, Scott McLellan, sister, Michelle Arellano, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the McCarty Senior Center in her honor.
Services for LaVeta will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Galmey Community Bible Church in Galmey, Missouri. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
