Lawrence "Larry" Lewis, Sr. (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Lawrence Willard Lewis, Sr., son of Vernon Lee and Jacquiline Mary Speis Lewis, was born, May 8, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, January 28, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of fifty-two years, eight months and twenty days.
On October 4, 2008 in Linn Creek, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Deborah H. Neal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vernon Lewis; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Theresa Speis and Ross and Agnes Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Neal of Stoutland, Missouri; children, Larry Lewis, Jr. and wife Heidi of Rosebud, Missouri, Jason Lewis, Arron Lewis and Ryan Lewis all of Belle, Missouri, James Stahl, Shiloh Coleman and husband Jason and Amy Robb all of Camdenton, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Apollo and husband Carl of South County, Missouri; a brother, Darren Lewis of Desoto, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Larry was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and worked for eighteen years for the State of Missouri in the Department of Corrections.
Lawrence made a profession of faith and was a member of Laclede Cowboy Church. He was also a member of the Iron Celtics Motorcycle Association, the National Rifle Association and the Moose Lodge in Camdenton.
In his spare time he enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles. He was always striving to give back to others, and enjoyed charity functions with the motorcycle association. Most of all, spending time with his family was precious to him. He especially enjoyed taking his wife Debbie to horse shows.
He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. He will be missed greatly by all those who knew and l
