Leah M. Lee (Seymour)'s Obituary
Leah Mae Lee was born August 12, 1937, to Joseph Smith and Verna Mae (Brazeal) Van Ness in Mansfield, Missouri.
On January 26, 1957, Leah married Ray Conway Lee, and to this union, two daughters were born. She worked at Emerson Electric in Ava, Missouri, before retiring.
Leah loved growing flowers, going to auctions, baking, feeding wild birds and attending church.
In addition to her parents, Leah was preceded in death by brothers, Jack, Joe Ray, Curtis, Jerry, and Darrell.
She leaves behind daughter, Wanda Whitaker and husband, Rick, of Ava, and daughter, Raydena Hoppe and husband, Lee, of Columbia, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jamie Whitaker and wife, Shawna, Cody Whitaker and girlfriend, Emily Guengerich, all of Ava; Nathan Smith and wife, Ashley, and Kendra Smith, all of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter L. Diamond, Grayson Williams, Jaylyn Whitaker, Hunter D. Whitaker, Leland Ray Whitaker, Adaline Smith, and Sawyer Smith; two brothers, Larry Van Ness and wife, Jan, of Springfield, Missouri, and Gerald Van Ness and wife, Beverly, of Rogersville, Missouri, and sister-in-law, Mickey Van Ness, also of Rogersville; and a host of extended relatives and dear friends.
Leah Mae Lee was a dedicated wife and mother, and loving grandmother.
She will be treasured in our hearts and minds forever.
