Lee Dan Bradshaw's Obituary
Lee Dan Bradshaw, son of L. D. and Winifred M. McGuire Bradshaw, was born May 20, 1939, in Whittier, California. He departed this life Tuesday, January 9, 2007, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, seven months, and twenty days. On August 21, 1977, he was united in marriage to Joan Freimuth, and together they shared the last twenty-nine years. His father preceded him in death. Dan is survived by his wife, Joan, of the home; two daughters, Sandra Meckem, of Rolla, Missouri, and Kimberly Hargis, of Aurora, Illinois; a grandchild, Devin Meckem, of Rolla, Missouri; a great-grandchild, Brittany Meckem; his mother, Winnie Bradshaw, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He was born in California and then moved with his family to their farm in the Lebanon, Missouri area. He graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1957, and then served in the United States Army Reserves for a few years. He worked as a service technician for United Telephone Company, which later became Sprint, and is now Embarq, for forty years before retiring. Dan had made his profession of faith in Christ and attended the Sleeper Pentecostal Church and Garfield Avenue Church of God in Lebanon. In his spare time he liked being outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He also liked trading guns. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with them and caring for them. Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and son, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Hufft Cemetery, near Eldridge. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Memorials to the Hufft Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
