Lela Rosella Deane (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Lela Rosella Deane age 98 of Lee’s Summit, Missouri was born April 19, 1922 to Harley and Loease (Dryer) Weeks, and passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in the John Knox Care Center in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Rosella went to school in Urbana, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Carl Brady Deane on November 26, 1939 and to this union three children were born. Rosella worked at Katz Drugstore and other retail stores in the Kansas City, Missouri area. She liked quilting, traveling, and playing cards and board games.
Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Brady Deane; her parents Harley and Loease Weeks; her grandparents Frank and Martha Dryer and one great-grandchild. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Raymond Deane and wife Judie, and Carl Richard Deane and wife Debbie, and one daughter, Deborah Lynne Roberts; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Mission Ridge Cemetery in Urbana, Missouri with the Rev. Loren Dryer officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery under the direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the John Knox Care Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
