Lena Renee Reyes (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lena Renee Reyes, daughter of Emilio and Doris McRae Reyes, was born October 16, 1956, in Benson, Arizona. She departed this life Thursday, November 28, 2019, in Cox South Medical Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, one month, and twelve days.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Albert Perez; and a sister, Belinda Caballero.
Lena is survived by her mother, Doris Brochu, of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, David Reyes, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two sisters, Alice Perez, and Yvonne Yettaw, both of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in California, and played sports in high school and many years after. She made her home in Upland California for a number of years, and worked as a packer for the Durston Manufacturing Company for twenty years. She came to Missouri in June 2019 where she lived out the rest of her life near her family in Springfield, Missouri.
Lena was raised in the Catholic faith.
She enjoyed doing craft projects, and liked collecting beads, elephants, coins and jewelry. She also enjoyed growing plants and gardening, as well as fishing and camping. She liked decorating for every holiday, but especially Christmas. She loved to talk and was never at a loss for words. She loved her friends and was loyal to them. Her family was very dear to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.
Lena was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
