Lena Straub (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Lena Mae Straub, daughter of Henry Wesley and Leila Edith Wright Clark was born May 13, 1934 in Caldwell County, Missouri. Lena went to be home with her Lord, Saturday, March 5, 2016 in her home at the age of eighty-one years, nine months and twenty-one days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s; Fred Straub and Willie Williams and eight brothers, Raymond Clark, Lewis Clark, Lonnie Clark, Jay W. Clark, Opal Clark, Joseph Clark, Leroy Clark and Dean Clark and son-in-law Dennis Burkhart.
Lena is survived by her son, Henry Straub and his wife Patty of Brunswick, Missouri; her daughter, Kay Burkhart of Linn Creek, Missouri; two granddaughters, Brittnee Straub of Brunswick, Missouri and Jessica Elliott and her husband Clint of Brunswick, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Colton Elliott, Carissa Elliott and Cloey Elliott all of Brunswick, Missouri; one sister, Mary Willis and husband Bill of Huntsville, Missouri and many nieces, nephews she cherished.
Lena graduated from Stet High School in the class of 1953 where she received the citizenship award her senior year. She made a profession of faith as a Christian. She prayed for her children and grandchildren and spouses all the time. She loved her family dearly.
Lena loved to fish, do crossword puzzles and read books. She had a special way with all animals. Lena loved to get out and find garage sales. She was the best cook in the whole wide world. She had two favorite shows that she never missed Bones and Larry’s Country Diner. Lena was a great lady and a wonderful and beautiful mother and there will never be another like her.
She retired from Wal-Mart as a cashier after seventeen years.
We celebrate her life and the love she shared and will cherish the memories she created for us. Lena was loved and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Linn Creek Methodist Church, Linn Creek, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and left at the church or the funeral home.
