Lenora W. Tucker (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lenora Tucker, daughter of Jesse Monrow and Nora Salsman Williams, was born November 10, 1922, near Richland, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Strafford Care Center, in Strafford, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, four months, and twenty-two days.
In October of 1947, she was united in marriage to Claud L. Tucker, and they shared thirty-four years before his passing in 1981.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; four sisters; two half-brothers; two half-sisters; and a stepson and his wife, David and Ollie Mae Tucker.
Lenora is survived by a step-daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Charlie Brown, of Stoutland, Missouri; four grandsons, David Lee and Preston Tucker, Kenny Brown, and his wife, Kathleen, and Mike Brown; two great-grandsons, Jason Brown, and his wife, Toleah, and Brent Brown, and his wife, Angie; two great-great-grandsons; four great-great-granddaughters; a number of nieces and nephews including, Loraine Henderson, Charlie Williams, and his wife, Ellen, Bob Williams, and his wife, Joyce, and Donald Williams; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was born and raised in the Richland, Missouri area. After she and Claud were married, they made their home in the Richland community. Throughout the years, Lenora was a devoted homemaker and also worked at the Richland Shoe Factory, then in the laundry at Fort Leonard Wood, and later as a secretary for the Empire Gas Corporation.
Lenora had made her profession of faith in Christ and joined the Grace Southern Baptist Church in 1981.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing embroidery projects and making quilts. She possessed a sweet disposition with a delightful sense of humor and was dearly loved by those at the nursing home.
Lenora loved her family dearly and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
