Leona Hickam (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Leona Hickam, daughter of Tarry and Nannie Jeffries Butts, was born, September 29, 1913 in Camdenton, Missouri. She departed this life, Friday, December 26, 2014, in Cameron Nursing and Rehab, Cameron, Missouri at the age of One Hundred One years, Two months and Twenty-Seven days.
She was united in marriage to Sardis H. Hickam and to this union one son was born. Together they shared many happy years of marriage before his passing March 26, 1985.She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Juanita Gillam.
Survivors include her son, Sardis Hickam, Jr. and wife Martha of Cambria, California; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Leona was raised in the Ha Ha Tonka Area of Camden County.
She was a graduate of Camdenton High School. After her marriage, they made their home in the Kansas City area. She was a homemaker, a help-mate to her husband and a wonderful mother and grandmother.
We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
