Leonard W. Rybski (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Leonard Wallace Joseph Rybski, son of Mary and Dan Carmack, was born, September 28, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life, Saturday, March 2, 2013, in Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, Missouri at the age of ninety-two years, five months and two days.
On July 10, 1945 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, he was united in marriage to Margaret Eleanor Nelson. Together they shared years of marriage until her passing on July 13, 1988.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chester Rybski.
Survivors include two daughter, Patricia Pendgraft and husband Mike of Columbia, Missouri and Laura Tilling and husband Dwight of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Heather Jennings and husband Lance of Columbia, Missouri and Whitie Tilling and wife Sherry and Danny Tilling all of Camdenton, Missouri and other relatives and many friends.
Leonard was raised in Chicago and after graduating High School, he entered the United States Navy. He served his country proudly in World War II. After being honorably discharged, he made his home in Evergreen Park, Illinois where he worked for the Rail Road. In 1965, he retired to the Lake of the Ozarks and worked part-time Lake Oasis for several years.
Leonard was baptized into the Catholic Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Camdenton.
He was a loving father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
