Leonard John Thomas (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Leonard John Thomas, son of Albert Charles and Laura Barr Thomas, was born April 4, 1943 in Lebanon, Missouri. He passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026, while surrounded by his daughters at Lake Regional Medical Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.
Leonard was born and raised in Lebanon and at the young age of fourteen, he began driving a truck. He spent his whole life on the road and earned the distinction of being a member of the Million Mile Club. The club is an elite group of truck drivers who have driven one million miles without a preventable accident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Laura Thomas; his son, Michael John Thomas; and his brothers, Charles Thomas and Denny Thomas.
Leonard is survived by his daughters, Karla Eddleman and her husband Gary, Tena Alford, Diana Huckaby, Cindy Bowlin and her husband Les and Twila Smith; his son, Terry Lynn Thomas; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Jerry Thomas; and other relatives and friends.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Leonard enjoyed fishing, farming and going to the races. Most of all, he loved seeing his family together. He looked forward to spending time with them and was a loving father and grandfather.
His loss is deeply felt by his family, and he will be so missed. Yet we know that he lives on in them, in their memories and in their love for each other.
