Leonard Earl Whipple (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Leonard Whipple was born July 23, 1937 the 11th of 13 children born to Frank and Evey (Bailey) Whipple in Plad, Missouri and passed away at the age of 83 on March 15, 2021 in the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Geraldine Williams on Jan 10,1960 and they had two children. Leonard lived his entire life in Dallas County. After leaving the service in 1962 he ran Archies 66 service station in Louisburg and later purchased and ran Williams Brothers Grocery until his retirement. He enjoyed gathering daily with some of his friends to socialize and attending the occasional fish fry.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. He is survived by his wife Geraldine, two children, Jason and wife Debbie of Lee’s Summit, MO, Shana and husband Robert of Rogersville, MO, and five grandchildren, Brett, Taylor and husband Cody, Claire, Paige, and Chloe as well as several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and a host of friends that will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Plad Baptist Church.
