Leora May Thompson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Leora May Thompson, 94, Bolivar, Missouri, died Friday, December 21, 2018, at CMHCF, in Bolivar, Missouri.
Leora May Foster was born on February 4, 1924 to Lilly May and Clarence Foster. She Married Virgil Thompson in 1946 the couple had two children, Regina Able and Trudy Stewart. Leora spent many years in the Van Town area, where her and Virgil operated a dairy farm. She also worked outside the home as a grocery store clerk at Wades Grocery Store in Bolivar. Leora was a member of the Walnut Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully for many years.
She is Preceded in Death by her husband Vigil and a granddaughter Shelia Hobbs. She is survived by her two daughters, Regina Able of St. Louis and Trudy Stewart and her husband Sid of Bolivar, MO; grandchildren Bryan Hobbs of Springfield, Travis Abel of Stockton, Logan Stewart of Bolivar, and Delaney Jones and Husband Dustin Marshfield; and 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Services for Leora will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, MO. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Wednesday form 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
