Leota April Davis, 101, Bolivar, MO, passed away, Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Parkview Health Care Facility in Bolivar, MO.
Leota was born April 1, 1914 in Geneva, IA to Eligia W. Wilkinson and Sadie Bell Bonjour. Leota married Dallas on December 8, 1940. They were farmers near Hampton, IA. In 1946 they moved to southern Missouri purchasing a farm at Marshfield, MO. Leota worked on the farm, was a waitress for many years and loved to roller skate and play board games. She divorced Dallas in 1957. On December 6, 1965, she married Herman Roehrs, an employee of the Missouri Conservation Commission and Water Patrol. After Herman passed away she married Elmer Krause September 17, 1983, and relocated to El Dorado Springs, MO. Elmer passed away from bone cancer August 7, 1994. Later she married Frank Davis and moved to Louisburg, MO. Frank is, also, deceased. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Bolivar, MO. She was an active member and loved her church and the church family. Because of health she moved to Butterfields Residential Care, Bolivar, MO on May 4, 2010. She recently resided at Parkview Health Care, Bolivar, MO. She loved to travel. Her daughter, Joyce, was an airline flight attendant and she took many trips on her daughter’s flights. Her granddaughter, Sheri, was, also, a flight attendant and is married to an American Airlines International Captain, Leif Reditsch. Leota's great grandson, Christian, is 16 years old and obtained his student private pilot glider certification at 14 and now has his student private power plane certification. Leota enjoyed seeing videos of Christian flying.
