Leota C. Dull (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Leota Charlcie Dull, daughter of Otto and Charlcie (Holycross) Siebern, was born on January 26, 1933 in Chamois, Missouri. She departed this world on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the age of 88.
Leota was raised and attended school in Chamois. After graduating high school, she attended business school in Washington D.C. While staying with her sister in Buffalo, Missouri, she was set-up on a blind date with a gentleman by the name of John Dull. They fell in love and were married on September 6, 1953 after she moved back to Missouri from Washington.
She then began working for Copper Atteberry Florists. After working there for twenty-five years, she and John decided to convert a home next door into their own flower shop. She owned and operated Leota’s Flowers and Gifts for almost thirty years. She provided flowers for her church, and many other events in the area. She loved serving her community. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Buffalo. She taught Sunday School at her church and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union.
Leota was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Charlcie Siebern; a son, Steve Dull; four sisters, Opal, Ruth, Lola, and Dorothy; and a granddaughter-in-law, Lyndsie. She is survived by her loving husband, John Dull; two sons, Jimmie Dull and wife Elaine of Blue Springs, MO and Kevin Dull and wife Luann of Springfield, MO; six grandchildren, Christina Strait and husband Bob, Janie Dull and husband Alex Lydle, Jared Dull, Luke Dull, Ciara Dull, Kelsey Dull; and five great-grandchildren, Josie, Easton, Pyper, Anna, and Abby.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 18, 2021 in the Buffalo First Baptist Church with Pastor David Van Bebber officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Buffalo First Baptist Church.
