Leota Pace (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Leota Jerlene Pace, daughter of Lannie and Ruth Myers Ruble, was born October 17, 1931, in Brownfield, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in Colonial Springs Healthcare Center, in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, and seventeen days.
On September 15, 1951, she was united in marriage to Teddy E. Pace, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Teddy, on December 12, 2003; four brothers, Leo Ruble, Lotus Ruble, Leaun Ruble, and Leaton Ruble; and two sisters, Lenora Pfeifle, and LeEtta Williams.
Leota is survived by two daughters, Belinda Rogers, and her husband, Billy, and Heather Ford, and her husband, Randy, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Gary Pace, of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Crossroads community and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1950. After she and Teddy were married, they lived most of their years in Laclede County, and lovingly raised their children.
Through the years, Leota was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also helped in the operation of Ted’s Service and Store. Later, she was an assistant cook for the Lebanon R-III Schools for several years.
Leota had attended the Community Baptist Church for the last several years.
In her spare time she enjoyed making quilting and stitching and had won numerous prizes at the county fair. She was well known for her cooking and especially her peanut brittle. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leota was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
