Lester Warren's Obituary
Lester E. Warren, son of Farance and Velma L. Blackman Warren, was born July 21, 1943, in Falcon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, October 14, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, two months, and twenty-three days. On September 8, 1997 he was united in marriage to Sally Rose Ann Kruger, and together they shared seven years, before her passing on March 30, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Lester is survived by four sons, Louis E. Warren, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Clarence “Burt” Shaffner, of Eldridge, Missouri, James Stubbs and Cody Kruger both of Lebanon, Missouri; one daughter, Samantha Leslie of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Margaret Steinbach, of Plato, Missouri, Carolyn Luttrell of Brumley, Missouri, Nancy Payne and Hazel Williams both of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, including Jerry Dean Williams, stationed in Iraq; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Falcon and raised in the Lebanon and Laclede County area. Throughout his life he had various jobs including Landau and Appleby Boat Company. He also sold mason shoes and was a newspaper carrier for The Lebanon Daily Record. He made his profession of faith at an early age and had attended church in Falcon. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his dog, “Buddy”. He also enjoyed visiting with friends. His family was very important to him and he especially loved his grandchildren. Lester was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. We celebrate his life and will treasure the memories he made for all those who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2006, in the New Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
