Lila Huffman (Hartville)'s Obituary
Lila Lorine Huffman, daughter of Maurice and Erma (Imboden) Thrailkill, was born February 26, 1943 in Winterset, Iowa. She departed this life Monday, April 19, 2021 at her home in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years.
Lila was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Michael Huffman on July 8, 1962. To this union they had two children and many memories.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike. Children, Lesley (Tim) Dilg of St. Louis, Missouri; and Aaron (Mindy) Huffman of Hartville, Missouri; four grandchildren; Lexi of St. Louis and Layla, Taylor and Dakota of Hartville; a brother, Raymond (Carolyn) Thrailkill of Rogers, Arkansas. Her donkeys, Popeye and Zane, dog Bella and her many cattle and stray kittens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nila and brother George.
Lila retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years providing her the opportunity to live in Oregon, California, Montana and finally retiring out of the Mansfield, Missouri office in 2001. Lila enjoyed managing the family farm with her husband along with renovating apartments and houses. Most importantly, Lila loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and caring friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many happy memories she helped create.
