Lillian Faye Hutcheson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Lillian Faye Hutcheson, age 89, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Wednesday evening, November 24, 2010 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born February 18, 1921 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to John Henry Hicks and Mabel Ann (Hartzog) Hicks.
Lillian was past president of the Bolivar PTA Association, past president of the Missouri PTA Association, past president of the Republican Women’s Club, past president of the WMU, past president of the Cox Health System Auxiliary, past president of the Missouri State Auxiliary Association, she was the founder and former director of volunteers at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital which received the Best Small Hospital Auxiliary Award in Missouri, she received the Bolivar Rotary Civic Service Award for Outstanding Community Service, the Lillian Hutcheson Award in 2003 which is an annual Volunteer Award, established in honor of Lillian for her dedication and hard work with volunteerism at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital, the Citizen’s Memorial Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors, Mizpah Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, the P.E.O., and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, John W. Hutcheson in October 1974.
Lillian is survived by her son, Dr. John W. Hutcheson and his wife Sherry of Pensacola, Florida, her daughter, Sue Ann Cansler and her husband Dr. Dean of Marshfield, Missouri, a sister, Lena Mae Willard of Kansas City, Missouri, one grandson, Damon Cansler of Chicago, Illinois and a granddaughter, Ashley Cansler of Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri with Dr. Bill Hooper officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “In The Garden” and “The Lord’s Prayer” sung by Malinda Batten with Greg Ankrom playing the piano. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Saturday evening at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri.
