Lillian May Gump (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lillian May Gump, daughter of Ira and Mable Weir, was born March 19, 1933, in Akron, Ohio. She departed this life Friday, June 15, 2018, in Colonial Springs Nursing Home, in Buffalo, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, two months, and thirty-six days.
On June 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Fred Alvin Gump, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Fred, in June of 1984.
Lillian is survived by a daughter, Melani Gump, of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandson, Kyle Gump, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Ohio, and was raised in Salem, Missouri. After she and Fred were married, they made their home in Kansas City, Missouri, Arkansas, and New York. They had served as missionaries in Taiwan, and then lived in Japan for a few years. They came to Lebanon, Missouri in 1970. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and mother, Lillian also worked as a bookkeeper for Marshall's Used Cars and Mobile Homes Sales for a number of years.
Lillian was a longtime active member of the Lebanon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a special pioneer missionary.
In her spare time she enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, watching television and coloring. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandson.
Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A service for Lillian Gump will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, in the Lebanon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
