She was born in Chelsea, Oklahoma but at the age of eight, she and her mother moved to Lebanon due to the death of her father. After she and Kenneth were married they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their daughter. In addition to being a homemaker, she was employed by Mattingly’s Five and Dime variety store for thirty-two years. Virginia had professed her faith at an early age and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Lebanon and attended as long as her health permitted. In her spare time she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, gardening, needlework, all kinds of crafts, and loved the Lady Bears basketball games. Virginia was a strong influence in her family and they were very important to her. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
