Lillie Mae Miller's Obituary
Lillie Mae Miller, daughter of James Melvin and Lillie Vester Sauls, was born October 6, 1926, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. She departed this life Sunday, January 7, 2007, in Lake Regional Health System, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, three months, and one day. On November 1, 1958, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Miller, and together they shared the last forty-eight years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a number of brothers and sisters. Lillie is survived by her loving husband, Gary, of the home; a number of nieces and nephews; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in North Carolina. After she and Gary were married, they made their home in Fayetteville, Arkansas for several years before moving to Richland, Missouri twenty years ago. Throughout her life, Lillie was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband, and also was very supportive of her husband in his career. Lillie made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of Eureka Baptist Church near Richland, Missouri. She greatly enjoyed nature and liked making a garden each year and also growing many beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed fishing and watching and feeding the hummingbirds. She was especially fond of her special dog, Butch. Lillie was a loving wife, aunt, and sister-in-law, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments, and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her fam Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Ware Chapel Cemetery, near Richland. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
