Lillie Null's Obituary
Lillie Ellen Null, daughter of Clarence and Nettie Welch Richards, was born August 22, 1928, in Fowlerton, Indiana. She departed this life on October 19, 2006, in St. Johns-Lebanon Hospital, Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, one month, and twenty-seven days. On December 12, 1946, she was united in marriage to Grover Elliott Null, Sr. in Roseland, Indiana, and to this union eight children were born. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grover, on September 27, 2003, and one sister, Norma Jean Richards. Lillie is survived by her children, Grover E., Jr., and his wife Sharon, James, and his wife, Karen, David, and his wife, Vicky, Minnie Durbin, Marianne Jennings, and her husband, Tommy, Tammy Jennings, and her husband, Ross, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Carol McCord, and her husband, Dennis, of Vacaville, California, and Nina Marcum, and her husband, Donny, of Fort Worth, Texas; thirty-seven grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nita Hepshier, of Niles, Michigan, Beverly Mieszanek, of Lake Villa, Illinois; one brother, Dick Richards, and his wife, Fay, of Niles, Michigan; a number of nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Fowlerton, Indiana, and spent her early years in the States of Indiana and Michigan. After she and Grover were married, they lived in various places during his military career. They then moved to Lebanon in 1966 to make their home. Lillie centered her life around her family and creating a warm, comfortable, inviting home for them. Her grandchildren were very precious to her and her home was their second home. She had made her profession of faith and had been a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene. Her church was always a very important part of her life, and she was a member of Ladies’ Dorcas Class as well as part of the church’s prayer line. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and working jigsaw puzzles. Lillie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the wonderful memories that she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Veterans Park at Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
