Linda Gantt (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Linda Sue Gantt was born October 16, 1943, in Elizabethton,
Tennessee to Paul Carter and Aileen Price Buckles. She passed away
Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Mercy Hospital in Springfield,
Missouri. She was eighty-two years, two months and fifteen days of age.
Linda spent her early years in Tennessee before moving with her
family to Florida, where her father was a pastor. She graduated from high
school while living in Florida and met her husband, Benjamin Gantt. They
were married June 11, 1962, in Moultrie, Georgia.
The couple then moved to California for Benjamin’s service in the
military. They made their home there for fifty years before moving to
Missouri.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Aileen; her
sister, Janice Inscore and brother, Gary Buckles.
She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Benjamin;
three daughters, Penny Gantt, Sherry McDougald (Jeff), and Stacey Harris
(Reggie); four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joe
Buckles (Beverly).
Linda was a strong woman and devout Christian. She always wanted
the best for everyone. She was, most recently, a member of Lighthouse
Baptist Church in Lathrop, California.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed playing board and card games, and
reading.
Linda will be remembered for her love of family and her dedication to
her loved ones. Her family made her smile, just as much as she made them
smile. Her warm presence and unwavering support will be greatly missed
by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services will be private.
