Linda Mitchell's Obituary
Linda Lee Mitchell, daughter of Marion and Edna McKinney Moore, was born August 26, 1944, in Laramie, Wyoming. She departed this life Friday, December 22, 2006, in her home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, three months, and twenty-six days. On June 6, 1964, she was united in marriage to Marvin Eugene Mitchell, and together they shared thirty-eight years before his passing on December 3, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ed Moore. Linda is survived by a brother, Charles Bartholomew, of Lander, Wyoming; four sisters, Bonnie Moore, of Springfield, Missouri, Joann Allmon, of Seymour, Missouri, Carolyn Blake, of Springfield, Missouri, and Donna Tindle, of Mesa, Arizona; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Tammy Lansdown, of Seymour, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Wyoming, but lived most of her life in the Mansfield, Missouri community. Throughout the years she was a devoted homemaker to her husband. Linda was saved at the Mansfield Nazarene Church, but attended Seymour Freewill Baptist Church when her husband became ill. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and lovingly cared for her husband during his illness. Linda was a loving sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
