Linda Pollet's Obituary
Linda J. (Jones) Pollet, daughter of Raleigh D. and Ruby (Haywood) Jones, was born May 20, 1949, in Blythe, California. She departed this life Tuesday, September 9, 2008, in Oschner Hospital, in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the age of fifty-nine years, three months, and nineteen days. In 1968 she was united in marriage to Darrell Gray and to this union one son was born. She was preceded in death by her father; as well as two husbands. Linda is survived by a son, Dennis Gray, of New Orleans, Louisiana; a grandson, Denny Gray, of New Orleans, Louisiana; her mother, Ruby Jones, of Mansfield, Missouri; four brothers; Tom Jones, Johnny Jones, and Bill Jones, all of Mansfield, Missouri, and Paul Jones, of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Gracie Walker, of Mansfield, Missouri, Kay Sanderson, of Buffalo, Missouri, Barbara Jones, and Sherry Welker, both of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Vicky Stevens, of the State of Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born and raised in California and in 1963 she moved to Mansfield, where she graduated from Mansfield High School in 1968. She then moved to Kansas City for two years before moving to Louisiana. Besides being a devoted homemaker she had also worked in nursing homes and at K-Mart for several years. Linda had made her profession of belief in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid rock collector and loved being outdoors. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, camping and fishing, she also loved animals. Linda was a kind and caring person with a big heart. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 pm Wednesday September 17, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Missouri.
