Linda Kay Poncin (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Linda Kay Poncin was born January 21, 1964 in Springfield, Missouri to Roy Jackson and Joyce Bryant Jackson. She passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of her passing, Linda was sixty years, two months and thirteen days of age.
On June 25, 1994 she married her true love and best friend, Donald “Don” Eugene Poncin. Together they shared many wonderful years together while standing by each other during the rough times of life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Aubrey Poncin.
She is survived by her husband, Don of the home; her sister, Carolyn Williams and her husband Ronnie of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister-in-law Sherry Nolte of Enid, Oklahoma; her aunt, Dianna Bryant and an uncle, Kenneth Bryant; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Linda enjoyed being with and caring for children and was employed with the daycare facility at the Methodist Church for many years. She also served as a custodian at Ozark Bible Church for thirty years and then served at First Baptist Church in Lebanon as a custodian.
She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served as a Sunday School teacher in the children’s department for many years at Ozark Bible Church. She was a longtime member at Ozark Bible Church before moving her membership to First Baptist Church in Lebanon.
In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, gardening and crafting.
Linda was a woman of deep faith, finding solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral service for Linda Poncin will be Tuesday, April 9 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Missouri. A visitation will be Monday evening from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lonesome Hill Cemetery.
