Linda I. Price (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Linda Ilene Price, daughter of Earl and Alice May Brazil Scott, was born August 11, 1944, in Yates Center, Kansas. She departed this life Saturday, October 19, 2013, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, two months, and eight days.
On October 30, 1973, she was united in marriage to Brent Arterburn, and they shared seventeen years before his passing in June of 1990.
On March 31, 1991, she married Samuel D. Price, and they shared the last twenty-two years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Rosemary Scott; and a brother, Zachary Scott.
Linda is survived by her husband, Sam, of the home; two daughters, June Buckles, and her husband, Casey, and Belinda Ellis, and her husband, Tom, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Jake Lewis Arterburn, of Lebanon, Missouri; a stepson, Joseph Price, and his wife, Loren, of Jefferson City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Gabriel, and his wife, Lindsey, Clarissa, and her husband, Brent, Jacey, Mason, Luke, Lauren, and Alyssa; two brothers, David Scott, and Leo Scott, and his wife, Lori, all of the State of Arizona; two sisters, Helen Jenkins, and her husband, Chad, of the State of Nevada, and Barbara Hutchinson, of the State of Arizona; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Yates Center and Chanute, Kansas. She then moved with her family to Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated from high school in 1962. She earned her cosmetology license and worked as a beautician for several years. Throughout her life, she was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family. After moving to Bullhead City, Arizona, Linda owned and operated a NAPA Auto Parts Store for a number of years. She later worked as a sales associate for a La-Z-Boy Furniture Store for a time. After Linda and Sam were married, they made their home in Lebanon, Missouri in 1992, and owned and operated Northern States Amusement Company for a time. Later, Linda was a home health worker for Oxford Health for eleven years.
Linda had professed her faith in Christ and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church for several years. She and Sam were currently ministering to the Wood Street Baptist Church in Lebanon. Linda was very active in the W.M.U. both locally and on the association level throughout the years, and had been on two mission trips to Brazil.
Playing the piano and working alongside Sam at their church are ministries that she considered to be a great honor and privilege. She was an excellent cook and fantastic baker. Her greatest joy was having time with her children and grandchildren.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
