Linda Rodgers' Obituary
Linda Kay Rodgers, daughter of Hubert and Joan (Lowther) Gilliland, was born June 17, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She departed this life Tuesday, January 2, 2007, in the Heart of the Ozarks Care Center, in Ava, Missouri, at the age of fifty-nine years, six months, and fifteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-daughter, Debra Rodgers; and a granddaughter, Heather Hightower. Linda is survived by her husband, Roy, of the home; two daughters, Sherrie Rogers, and her husband, Billy, of Ava, Missouri, and Ladonna Hightower, and her husband, Ronnie, of Hartville, Missouri; a step-daughter, Yvonne Knippers, and her husband, Dennis, of Houston, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Rusty and Ryan Rogers, Clay, Alyssa, and Allison Hightower, Chris, Kimberly, Debbie, Kevin, Shelly, and Kayla Knippers; a sister, Rebecca Patrick, and her husband, Larry, of Kaw City, Oklahoma; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Oklahoma. She later married and moved to Texas, where she resided until moving to Hartville nineteen years ago. Linda had made her profession of faith in Christ and had attended the Sunshine Church, she also attended the Hartville First Assembly of God Church the last few years. She loved spending time with her family, studying the Bible, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed singing, and researching medical information on her computer. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will beheld at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2006, in the Hartville Assembly of God Church. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Hartville Assembly of God Church. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
