Linda Lou Woods (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Linda Lou (Dike) Woods, 81 years 10 mo. 13 days, went to be with her Heavenly Father, February 5, 2023, from her Flemington, MO home, surrounded by her three daughters and assisted by Integrity Hospice.
Born March 23, 1941 to Albert E. and Ona M. Dike, in Independence, MO. Living her life in Independence, until Linda followed her father (at his retirement from Ford, 1975) to Flemington in 1976. While she worked a few years at Lake City and held a CDL, (and her own motorcycle license) driving with Faril, some over-the-road mostly. Linda was a mother and housewife.
She loved being a grandmother, collecting anything Coca-Cola, trips to the Silver Dollar City and Branson, shopping, crafting, cards, Wahoo and fishing.
Faril and Linda were members of Rondo Baptist Church and shortly after Faril’s death, she transitioned to Cowboy Church, then as her health declined, her services were all televised. Linda was baptized at Carlisle Baptist Church in Independence, circa 1971, along with her children.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Faril Woods; her father and mother; step-mother, Virginia Juanita Dike; an infant brother, (Albert Jr) Sonny Boy; two sisters, Frankie Belle Snelling and Carol F. Carman (and her husband Robert); niece, Buffy Rene Carman; nephew, Robby Carman; step-sister, Ila Burke; step-brother, Bobby Paxton; her lifelong best friend, Sharon Sherman; cousin, Sherry Terry and her son-in-law, Kenny Joe Wilkerson.
Linda is survived by daughters, Debra Wilkerson of the home; Linda Stillwell of Flemington, MO; Donna Parke (Gary) of Bolivar, MO; sons, Donnie Stillwell (Jackie) of Tulsa, OK; Larry Oldham (Christina) of Rogersville, MO; Jerry Oldham (Denise) of Lees’ Summit, MO; step-daughters, Carol Woods (Dave Newmann) and Cheryl Hamlet (Joe Hall) all of Springfield, MO; step-son, Billy Woods (Darla) of Brighton, MO; brothers-in-law, Frank Stillwell of Urbana, MO and Bill Burke of Sugar Creek, MO; great-granddaughter, Jade Nicole Stillwell of the home; great-grandson, Jordan Stillwell (Amber) of Polk, MO; grandchildren, Angel Kirby and Lisa Vydra of Brighton, MO, Melissa Norman (Bryan) of Independence, MO, Joe Stillwell of Tulsa, OK, Alex Parke (Hannah) of Fair Play, Mo, Max Murphy of Owassa, OK, Sherlinda Stillwell-Felkins (Sean) of St. Paul, KS, DJ Stillwell of Texas, Aleisha Marie Oldham of Springfield, MO, Justin Oldham (Rachel), Jesse Oldham and Kela Oldham, all of Harrisonville, MO, and Brittney Oliver; nieces, LuAnn Oliver and Sharon Webb (Gregg) and nephew, Michael Wells, all of MO; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren, 22 step-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-step-grandchildren and many cousins. Also surviving are Snicker-doodle and Brownie, her devoted babies of the home.
Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, 11 a.m., at Harvest Assembly Church,329 Hwy 32, Fair Play, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Evelyn Shaulis, accompanied by vocalists, Hannah and Berkley Parke.
