Lindora Hoke (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lindora Faye Hoke, daughter of Orville and Cora Rose Jones, was born August 5, 1927, in Tecumseh, Nebraska. She departed this life Monday, November 5, 2018, in her home, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, and three months.
She was united in marriage to George Lee Hoke, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; a son, George L. “Butch” Hoke, Jr.; three brothers, Jim, David and Casey; and three sisters, Elsie, Gladys, and Sue.
Lindora is survived by a daughter, Sharon Kingsbury, of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Lenora "Tiny" Schrat, of Omaha, Nebraska; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Nebraska, but lived most of her life in the Lebanon and Stoutland, Missouri areas. She was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family and also worked for the H. D. Lee Company in Lebanon for over thirty years.
Lindora had attended Trinity Episcopal Church in Lebanon.
In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, and watching sports, particularly baseball and basketball. She possessed a kind and gentle spirit and enjoyed visiting with her friends. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lindora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
