Lisa Ann Cemer (Seymour)'s Obituary
Lisa Ann (Bowers) Cemer, beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, received her wings and left this world at 8:28pm, Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, after a nine month battle with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). Our Creator chose to put her on a fresh course – no more pain, no more tears – but basking in the Light of He who made us, redeemed us, and provided Eternal Life.
Lisa, a lifelong resident of the Diggins Community, was born on July 14, 1964, in Springfield, Missouri, to William David and Lola Jean (Cook) Bowers. In later years, she lived in Greentop, Missouri, and then Marshfield, Missouri, with husband, Bill, at the time of her passing.
Preceding Lisa’s departure from this life was her mother, Lola Jean (Cook) Bowers, in October, 2009; an infant sibling, Diana Lynn Bowers, in April, 1960; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. Lisa is survived by her husband, William ‘Bill’ Cemer, of the home in Marshfield; father, William David Bowers of Diggins; daughter, Megan LeeAnn Cook of Diggins; grandson, Ian Jayce Cook Clark, also of Diggins; two stepsons, Eric Cemer of North Platte, Nebraska, and his children, Anna, Christopher, Lucas, and Devon Cemer, and Colby Cemer of Buffalo, New York; three siblings, David Lee Bowers (Penny), of Ashland, Missouri, Roger Bowers (Cordie), of Diggins, and Deborah Jean Newman (Terry), of Rogersville, Missouri; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
This journey has brought us many new-found friends, while at the same time giving us a fresh appreciation for lifelong friends. We, as her family, would like to extend this opportunity to thank each of you for your prayers, support and Love. To Pastor Jackson and our beloved brother- Terry Newman and our beautiful sister Debbie - thank you for extending of yourselves over this path of life - she, like those of us who remain, are eternally grateful.
Lisa’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandson. She loved the color pink and her passions were listening to The Gaithers gospel music and going to her ‘church’ on Saturday nights where she loved to sing along with her favorite groups. Lisa will be so deeply missed by all those blessed enough to know and love her.
Fly high our baby sister...to the arms of Mama.
Memorials and love offerings may be made in Lisa's honor and left at the funeral home.
