Lisa Darlene Collins, daughter of Glenn and Lori Rose Crossland, was born November 30, 1979, in Orange County, California. She departed this life Monday, July 19, 2010, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of thirty years, seven months, and nineteen days.
On October 5, 2000, she was united in marriage to Jason Bradley Collins, and they shared the last nine years.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Jason, of the home; a daughter, Lillian Rose Darlene Collins, of the home; two sons, Tyler Anthony Francis, and James Bradley Collins, both of the home; her mother, Lori King, and her husband, Kenneth, of Lebanon, Missouri; her father, Glenn Crossland, and his wife, Charlie, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Camdenton, Missouri area, where she attended school. For the last seven years, she and Jason had made their home in Lebanon. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Lisa had worked at the Laclede County Sheltered Workshop, where she compassionately aided the handicapped. She was currently working as a lifeguard at the Lebanon Y.M.C.A.
Lisa was saved and baptized four years ago, and attended Community Baptist Church, near Lebanon.
She had received training to become a first responder and was doing volunteer work at the American Red Cross. She possessed a concerned and generous spirit for her community and was trying to become more involved in helping others. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her yard and garden, and had received the garden club’s “Yard of the Month” award during the summer of 2009. She was a very creative person and enjoyed decorating her home. Her family was very important to her and she focused her love and attention upon her children. Lisa was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and niece, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life, and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
