Lisa Y. Payne (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Lisa Y. Payne, age 91, passed peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. She was born on March 12, 1933, in Salzburg Austrin Alps, number six of nine children. She came to the United States in October 1951.
Lisa lived in Buffalo, New York for 11 years where she worked in food service. She then moved to Chicago before finally settling in Dallas County, Missouri in 1968. There she worked on her farm, always raising a garden with fruits, vegetables, and flowers. She loved to care for the many animals. In 1980, Lisa moved into Buffalo, Missouri. Along with being an avid gardener, Lisa enjoyed crafting, quilting, sewing, knitting, and much much more. She made blankets, quilts, and toys for the families and children staying at the Ronald McDonald House. In 1993, Lisa joined Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one son, Alex Filimonow and wife Lynn, three grandchildren and their spouses, many great grandchildren, family of the heart Lisa and Michael Phillips, Hannah Phillips, Heidi Phillips Kahlea James, Aaron Spaulding, many beloved friends, and church family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the church or to Ronald McDonald House Charity.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri.
