Lisa G. Porter (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lisa G. Porter was born July 13, 1968 in Lebanon, Missouri to Albert Swigert, Jr. and Etta Fay Jones Swigert. She passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. At the time of her passing, Lisa was fifty-five years, nine months and fourteen days of age.
On July 20, 1987, Lisa was united in marriage to Glen Dale Porter. They were proud to welcome five children to their marriage.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glen; her brothers Anthony, Randy, Stanley and Dennis and a sister, Linda.
She is survived by her daughters, Jalisa Porter and significant other Justin Martin of Richland, Missouri, and Glenette Porter Gambill and her husband Harley of Wichita, Kansas; three sons, Glen Dale Porter, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri, Tommy Porter of Winton, California and Devin Porter-Williams of Osage Beach, Missouri; ten grandchildren; her boyfriend, Joseph Stein; one brother, Gary Swigert of Alexander, Minnesota; one sister, Rebecca Keen of Winchester, Kansas; and other relatives and friends.
Lisa was employed as a housekeeper in several area care centers, including Dove Nursing Home, Lebanon Care Center South, and a care center in Dixon, Missouri. She was also employed at Daylight Donuts in Lebanon.
In her free time, she enjoyed watching movies and booty dancing at Midnight Rodeo. She liked traveling to casinos and barbeque was her favorite food. She also enjoyed traveling around the country.
Lisa attended the Oasis Church on occasion and had a fondness for the Pentecostal faith.
Most of all, Lisa loved her family and was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with them as often as possible and looked forward to big family gatherings.
Her loss is deeply felt by her family, and she will be so missed. Yet, we know that she lives on in them, in their memories, and in their love for each other.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
