Lloyd Marshall (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lloyd William Marshall, son of William Hollis “W.H.” and Jessie E. Brown Marshall, was born April 3, 1925, near Phillipsburg, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, October 12, 2014, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, six months, and nine days.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lloyd is survived by a son, Eddie Marshall, of the State of California; his cousins, Lewis Brown, Lee Brown, Bobby Joe Brown, Florine Vaughn and Dorothy Eidson; a friend, Joyce Robertson, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Phillipsburg community and attended Mount Zion School. He then graduated from Phillipsburg High School. He began working with his father in cattle farming, and continued with that endeavor for many years. He had owned and operated a Texaco Service Station in Lebanon for several years, and also distributed oil products. He worked as a car salesman for the Ford Motor Company and had also worked in law enforcement as a Lebanon City Police Officer for several years.
Lloyd had attended Bailey Chapel Freewill Baptist Church for the last several years.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #192 in Lebanon and the Laclede County Masonic Lodge # 83 A.F. & A.M. of Lebanon. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and loved pets of all kinds, but especially his dogs. He also liked listening to gospel music. He was a very friendly man and enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
We celebrate Lloyd’s life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.
