After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to the Lebanon area where he worked at the Caffeyville Store and Gas Station, then for the Friscoe Railroad, and later at Independent Stave Company. For most of his life he was an antique dealer in this area. Lloyd made his profession of faith in Christ at an early age, and was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church since 1937. He enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, growing beautiful flowers, and squirrel hunting in his spare time. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed cooking chili and chicken and dumplings for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
