Lloyd E. Wilson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lloyd Erwin Wilson, son of Julius and Nellie G. Fowler Wilson, was born June 29, 1929, in Perryville, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, June 21, 2015, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-five years, eleven months, and twenty-two days.
On November 27, 1980, he was united in marriage to Margaret R. Ruge and they shared the last thirty-four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Wilson; and two sisters, Lola Adams, and Gaye Bernard.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of the home; a brother, Joseph Wilson, of the State of Texas; a brother-in-law, Paul L. Bernard, of Mount Vernon, Illinois; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Perryville, Missouri. He then served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force from 1948 until 1950. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he made his home in Omaha, Nebraska, where he first began working in truck refrigeration. He later owned and operated a heating and cooling business for a number of years. Once he and Margaret were married, they continued to make their home in Omaha, until Lloyd retired. In 1996, Lloyd and Margaret moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and Lloyd again worked in the cooling and heating business for several years.
Lloyd had made his profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of Sleeper Pentecostal Church. He was a very caring person who was always willing to help someone in need.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked raising chickens. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was a great worker and truly understood the value of hard work.
Lloyd was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sleeper Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
