Lois B. Boner (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lois Beverly Boner, daughter of Antonio and Mary Hinter Leitner Cregor, was born July 31, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life Friday, April 28, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, eight months, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Joseph J. Boner; two sons, Thomas M. Bonner and Kenneth L. Boner; and a brother, Leo Cregor.
Lois is survived by two daughters, Donna J. Riffle, and her husband, Tim, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Lynn D. Euliano, and her husband, Steve, of Douglasville, Georgia; a son, Daniel W. Bonner, of Round Rock, Texas; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and then lived in Hanover Park, Illinois for twenty-seven years. During these years, Lois was a devoted homemaker to her husband and a loving and caring mother to her children. Lois also worked at various secretarial and receptionist jobs for several years, and then was employed as an accountant for Lohbauer Heating and Cooling for many years. After retiring in 2001, she moved to the Phillipsburg, Missouri community and made her home.
Lois was active in Catholic churches while living in Illinois, but since moving to Missouri, she had attended Phillipsburg Christian Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and liked traveling and taking vacation trips. She also had a love for animals. She was a very happy person with a great heart and was always doing things for others. She was steadfast in her convictions and didn’t mind sharing her feelings. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lois was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-four years.
