Lois Buckner's Obituary
Lois Marie Buckner, age 72, of Brighton, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Marshfield Care Center in Marshfield, Missouri. She was born January 20, 1937 in Johns Town Center, Wisconsin to Lewis Matthew Elliott and Marie M. Adam Elliott. She was an assembly line worker for the Zenith Company for 22+ years and then worked for various nursing homes for 6 1/2 years, including Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar. She married Jesse G. Buckner on March 17, 1957 in Mansfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2004. She was a member of the Highway Assembly of God Church in Brighton, Missouri. Lois is survived by her step-son, Deryl G. Buckner of Wheatland, Missouri, two step-daughters, Wilma Holt of Wheatland, Missouri, Glenna Kennedy of St. Joseph, Missouri, two sisters, Berta Brister of Beeby, Arkansas, Esther Ruth of Loveland, Colorado, half-brother, Lewis Elliott, Jr. of Summit, Arkansas, and a granddaughter, Lori Butler of Stafford, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar with Reverend Jim Johnson officiating. Musical selections will be In The Garden and How Beautiful Heaven Must Be by Malinda Batten with Greg Ankrom playing the piano. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery in Polk, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar.
