Lois Counts' Obituary
Lois Julane Counts, age 66, of Pittsburg, Missouri, passed away Thursday night, November 24, 2011 at her home in Pittsburg.
Lois was born on October 1, 1945 in Vulcan, Missouri the daughter of Herbert Lacy Miller and Leona Martha Miller.
She was married to Charles Counts on July 2, 1965 in St. Louis Missouri. To this union was born three children; Charley Counts, and Curtis Counts and the late Carla Counts.
Lois worked at Teters Florist for 16 years and retired in 2010; She was in production, but often times would fulfill whatever job needed done with a smile on her face, a quality she was well known for. Lois was fond of her chickens, as they were also fond of her. She would go out multiple times each day to tend to her flock of pets, to which she had named each and every one. Lois loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved her Savior and His Church. While she was not in the military, it was said that she was in God?s Army.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; Herbert and Leona, her daughter; Carla Payne, and her daughter-in-law; Sharon Miller.
Surviving Lois her husband; Charles Counts of the home, two sons; Charley Counts and Heather Bridges of Pittsburg, Missouri, and Curtis Counts of Pittsburg, Missouri, seven sisters; Peggie Gabriel and her husband Frank of Troy, Illinois, Betty Somers and her husband Pete of Shalluc, Illinois, Alice Textor and her husband Ed of Ash Grove, Missouri, Rita Dahmm and her husband Charlie of Bolivar, Missouri, Sandy Smith and her husband Tom of Bolivar, Missouri, Sue Matchell and her husband Phil of Halfway, Missouri, and Darlene Connor and her husband Steve of Norwood, Missouri, three brothers; Marvin Miller of Piedmont, Missouri, Glen Miller and his wife Monica of Piedmont, Missouri, and Chris Miller and his wife Lisa of Camdenton, Missouri, four grandchildren; Lacy Counts of Savannah, Georgia Cailyn Blair of St. Louis, Missouri, Chloe Blair of St. Louis, Missouri, and Jesse Counts of Bolivar, Missouri, and countless family and friends that will forever miss her.
Memorial Services for Lois will be held at 10:30am, December 4, 2011 at the Lakeside Assembly of God Church in Pittsburg, Missouri with Pastor Gary Parsons officiating.
