She grew up in the Diggins community and lived her entire life in the area, where she was a devoted homemaker to her family. Jean had served two terms as Mayor of Diggins and twenty-five years as Councilwoman. She had also served on the Park Board. Jean gave her heart and life to God early in her life and was a member of the Harvestime Tabernacle Church in Marshfield, Missouri. She was very dedicated to the church, especially the Ladies Auxiliary, and loved to glorify God through her amazing musical talents of singing and playing the piano. In her spare time she enjoyed cross-stitching quilt blocks and singing and playing gospel music. She cherished the time that she spent with Dave and the family. It was her faith in God, her family, her church, and many friends that kept her going during her valiant battle against breast cancer. She was a devoted and loving wife, an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and the wonderful memories she has created for all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 12, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery.
