Lonnie Ray Sibley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Lonnie Ray Sibley, son of Robert Carter and Delores Beatrice Hooper Sibley, was born January 3, 1950, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He departed this life Tuesday, August 16, 2016, in his home, near Eldridge, Missouri, at the age of sixty-six years, seven months, and thirteen days.
On October 19, 1991, he was united in marriage to Lola Yvonne Liggett, and they shared the last twenty-four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bradley Owen and Raymond Keith Sibley.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Lola, of the home; two sons, Eric Sibley, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Corey Sibley, of South Haven, Mississippi; a brother, David Sibley, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Louisiana. After he finished his education, he began working as an independent welder. In the mid 1980’s, he moved to Independence, Missouri, where he continued to work as a welder. Later, he moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, before making his home on his farm, near Eldridge, Missouri.
Lonnie had a deep abiding faith in Christ and was a member of Pentecostals of Camdenton, Missouri.
He loved life on the farm, and enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time. He had a quiet personality and centered his life around his family, his farm, and his faith in God.
Lonnie was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
