Lora Jinks' Obituary
Lora Beatrice Jinks, daughter of William Monroe and Agnes (Henderson) Langston, was born July 19, 1928, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, eight months, and eight days. On April 4, 1946 she was united in marriage to her one and only love, Floyd Ervin Jinks, who preceded her in death on August 28, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dan and Charles Langston, and Dean Henderson; two sisters, Doris Wiseman, and Wanda Greenwood. Bea is survived by one son, Dale Jinks, and his wife, Tina, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; three daughters, Florene Mayfield, and her husband, Bill, of Rolla, Missouri, Corrine Williamson, and her husband, Dan, of Springfield, Missouri, Babby Nunn, and her husband, Kevin, of Willard, Missouri; seven grandsons, Jeremy Taylor, of Versailles, Illinois, Jessie and Josh Jinks, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Mike Mayfield, and his wife, Jessica, of Lawrence, Kansas, Tim Mayfield, and his wife, Julie, of Rolla, Missouri, Anthony Pyatt, of Willard, Missouri, Zachary, Cole and Ian Nunn, all of Willard, Missouri; five granddaughters, Sissy Korich, and her husband, Jim, of Rolla, Missouri, Brandy Franklin, and her husband, Shay, Amber Rose, and her husband, Chris, all of Springfield, Missouri, Jennifer Woodward, and her husband, Mark, of Columbia, Missouri, and Joanna Jinks, of Lake Ozark, Missouri; three great-granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; a sister, Ethel Dickens, and her husband, Leonard, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She married Floyd at the age of seventeen and they were married for forty-seven years, they resided in the Grovespring area for the majority of those years. She was employed by the MFA Exchange for twenty-four years, and was very active in the community. Bea had made her profession of faith in Christ and was baptized at the age of fifteen at Shaddy Chapel, where she was a member for many years. After Floyd’s death in 1993 she moved to Willard, where she remained for the last fourteen years. She enjoyed reminiscing with old friends and loved her country music. Bea’s life was dedicated to her family and she will be deeply missed by them and many lifelong friends. We celebrate her life and accomplishments, and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in the Shaddy Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
