Loratia Smith (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Loratia Belle O'Neal Smith, 90, of Fair Play, Missouri Passed away April 26, 2016, at Citizens Memorial Health Care Facility, in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born June 7, 1925, the daughter of William Joseph O'Neal and Lula Mabel Davis O'Neal. She was saved at the age of 16, at Turkey Creek, and became a member of the Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Loratia was a homemaker, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. As long as she was able she loved to make quilts, which she gave to all of them at Christmas time. She worked several years at the MFA Grocery at Fair Play, and later she was employed by Wal-Mart, in Bolivar, until she retired.
Loratia married Loren Olen (Pud) Smith March 29, 1942, and to
this union were born two daughters, Kay and Carlene.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loren; her parents,
Willie and Lula O'Neal; three sisters, Loraine O'Neal, Anna
Lee Rowan, and Opal Mason.
Loratia is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Kay and Gary Nickels. of Fair Play, Missouri, and Carlene and Ron Hendrickson, of Bolivar, Missouri; three grandchildren and their spouses, Gayla and Marty Wells, Roger and Pam Hendrickson, and Ronda and Brandon LePage; six great grandchildren, Derek Wells, Brooke, Chloe, and Mason Hendrickson, Kerstyn and Jordyn LePage.
